2 Corinthians 1:18-20

You may remember me mentioning the taxi-bus that we saw as we were driving back to Mbale after traveling out to the village to meet our Son for the first time (in the Feb 15th post). The taxi's always have some saying in bold lettering on either the front windshield or on the back. They are often spiritual in nature, but not always. As we were driving back to Mbale we passed a bus that had written on it, "With God it is a Yes" Tara and I both noticed the bus and it was
a reassuring reminder that ultimately baby Mukisa is a child of God and that God will direct this adoption process.

After posting the blog I received an email from my BSF leader in Dallas. (BSF stands for Bible
Study Fellowship and is the organization that Tara's parents are serving with in Bangkok. I attend a weekly class in Dallas). Our BSF group had been reading 2 Corinthians that week and the message on the bus was written there;

"1:18 But as God is faithful, our message to you is not “Yes” and “No.” 1:19 ...but it has
always been “Yes” in him. 1:20 For every one of God’s promises are “Yes” in
him..."

It was encouraging to both of us and another reminder of the way God wants us to lean into him rather than struggling through this according to our own will.
