A Landmark

This morning Isaac hand delivered our initial home study documents to our assigned AWAA social worker- hurray! We finally got permission yesterday that we could turn in our completed documents without the health department inspection. In addition we discovered our social worker’s brother had passed away, which is why she hasn’t been available the last two weeks. Today we were informed that our AWAA social worker is going to outsource our home study in hopes they will be able to work with us sooner. We now have to wait on the social worker to process our background checks and then they will schedule our home study visits. In the meantime, we’ll continue our required online education course and begin collecting some of the dossier documents.

In the midst of frustrating circumstances that are beyond my control I’m trying to surrender everything to God and trust in His plan. I’m choosing to trust that my disappointments are God’s divine appointments.

"'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'" - Jeremiah 29:11
