We're getting a little closer in line. I heard today family #72 received an approval (we're #133)! Based on the progress they've been making my guess is we'll receive an approval in late Spring and then we'll be getting a referral and traveling in late Summer or early Fall. It truly is a guess, but it gives me hope. Plus, I figure you might curious.
I'm sure for friends this feels like the baby that will never come. We've been talking about and prepping for this baby for 1 year 3 months (but who's counting?). Yes, it has felt like the longest pregnancy ever!
With our great friends, Marc, Kayan, Adalae, and Roman (adopted from Rwanda in Oct.)
I remain confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the LORD
in the land of the living.
Wait for the LORD;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the LORD.
Psalms 27:13-14

Yes, I know what you mean. My poor daughter Grace- some of the kids at school were saying that they think she is making it up, because in the minds of 5/6 year olds it seems like YEARS since we started this process. She got quite upset about it:(
But I keep in mind the families who have been waiting years to adopt from many other countries. As unbearable as the wait feels for us, it is still relatively short for international adoption. Here's hoping we all hear something soon!
Oh my word...oh my word! That is so exciting! I didn't know that things were moving that quickly if at all. Yippee!
When we started our process with adopting our first, a couple in our SS class started their process adopting their first in China. They brought home their daughter 4 years later when we brought home Sadie. No lie, same day. It was awful to walk through that with them and watch how hard it was to struggle through the wait...4 years. Mercy. So excited for you all...you're on the home stretch! Love you guys!
