We’re Off to Uganda!

Yes, you read that right.  We have a crazy story to tell you, but unfortunately neither Isaac nor I have the mental energy to tell you all the amazing details of how the last week has transpired.

The story started on Saturday when we were told about a four day old baby boy in Mbale who needs a permanent family.  Between Saturday and Wednesday God kept making it more and more clear that we were to go to Mbale to love on this baby boy.

He is the cutest thing we’ve ever seen, and we already love him to the moon and back!  So, with a huge mixture of emotions, we’ve booked our flight for Wednesday next week.  We’re going with the hopes to adopt this precious boy; however, while we’re “paper ready” in Uganda this situation is really unique and it comes with a ton of unknowns.

This situation, by the way, has nothing to do with our agency.  We’re still in line to adopt a baby from Uganda through our agency, Generations.  And we’re also still in line to also adopt from Rwanda, but we have no idea when or if that will happen.

As of right now, Isaac is planning on flying back to Dallas on February 24th so he can get back to work.   I, however, will stay longer if needed.

Please forgive us if you have called or emailed us in the last few days, and we have not returned the message.   We have an incredible amount to accomplish in the next few days.

All I can say for certain is GOD IS FAITHFUL!  He keeps revealing himself in amazing ways!  We can’t wait to one day tell you more of the back story of how God put this baby in our lives.

Will you please join us in praying for…

- God's perfect plan...that God will be honored and glorified

-Accurate and adequate documents

-Favor with the courts in Mbale

-Favor with the US Embassy in Kampala

-Timely process

-Joyful outcome!
